We specialize in xeriscapes, rock walls, retaining walls, pavers and waterfalls. We believe that the wants and needs of our customers come first, so we truly listen to your wishes before we create any design. Meet Our Team!
Marcelino, CEO
Marcelino’s love for landscaping began in 1994 when he started as a crew member for Gail Willey Landscaping. Within a year he became a foreman, and over the next five years he became determined to create his own business. His vision was to create gorgeous residential and commercial landscapes in Northern Nevada, while considering variables such as the natural surroundings and the budgets of homeowners. In 2001, he founded El Reyo Landscape. Marcelino serves as President of our Board of Directors and manages the company’s overall operations and resources. He specializes in complex, natural waterfalls and one-of-a-kind designs.
Noel, COO
Noel joined the family business in a full-time role in 2021. Before that, he served this country for over 23 years in the Army. He is a graduate of the US Army Master Leaders Course and holds a Bachelor's in Business Management from the University of Nevada, Reno. He applies his extensive logistics and managerial experience to setting comprehensive goals for El Reyo’s performance and growth, using data and metrics to evaluate performance. He is also the main point of communication between our clients,vendors, and daily operations. Noel and his wife Kihana are the proud parents of two daughters and a son.
Sara, Executive Assistant
Sara began to work with her family’s company when she graduated from high school. Skilled in communications, Sara is responsible for managing day-to-day contact among the Board of Directors, employees, clients, and vendors. As well as scheduling appointments, preparing bid proposals, and managing documentation, Sara also handles accounts payable/receivable, manages our payroll, and more. She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration and is pursuing her accounting career. She loves hiking in Lake Tahoe and spoiling her nieces and nephews.
Rosario, Secretary
When the time came to build a company from the ground up, Rosario motivated Marcelino to strive for perfection, encouraging a philosophy of creativity and orientation to detail. This is echoed in El Reyo’s mission to make each homeowner's vision a reality. Rosario is responsible for clerical and administrative support to optimize workflow procedures. She assists the Board of Directors, supporting them with planning and distribution of sensitive information. Rosario loves gardening and cooking for her family. She has raised a family with Marcelino for more than 40 years and is a proud grandmother of 10 grandchildren.
Eddy, Project Manager
Eddy’s curiosity for landscaping started when he was young as he watched his father, Marcelino, work. He joined Marcelino in the workplace at 16 years old, and learned all the how-tos of the industry. He now oversees field operations, coordinating with foremen to ensure well-maintained grounds, proper tool use, and responsible allocation of resources. He is responsible for assigning job tasks, monitoring performance, and providing material for commercial and residential job sites. Eddy is meticulous in his workmanship, and that's showcased in every project he completes. He enjoys reading and welding in his free time.
